Group Golf Trip Planning

Custom Golf Vacations for Every Group

Buddy Trips · Country Club Outings · Corporate Events · Couples Golf

At Sun & Fun Travels, we have built our reputation on one thing: taking the headache out of group golf trip planning so you can focus on what matters — great courses, great company, and great golf. Whether you are organizing a four-person buddy trip to Myrtle Beach, a twenty-player outing in Scottsdale, or a hundred-person country club event in Jamaica, our team manages every logistical detail from tee times to ground transportation. All you do is show up and play.

We know golf travel. We have placed groups on the historic links of St Andrews and Royal Troon, on the Pete Dye masterpiece at Casa de Campo, on the oceanside fairways at Pebble Beach and Kapalua, and on the tropical layouts at Sandals Golf & Country Club in Jamaica. We understand the difference between a resort course that looks good in photos and one that actually delivers for a discerning group — and we plan accordingly.

Step by Step

How We Plan Your Golf Trip

01

Initial

Consultation

We start with a conversation — group size, destination preferences, travel dates, skill levels, and budget.

No forms, no bots.

02

Custom

Proposal

We research and build a custom trip proposal with course options, accommodation choices, and pricing — typically within a few business days.

03

Group

Coordination

We handle communication to group members, collect deposits, coordinate rooming preferences, and manage dietary and accessibility requirements.

04

Tee Time

Confirmation

All tee times are secured in advance. We confirm times, cart assignments, and any special tournament formats before you ever leave Chicago.

05

Pre-Trip

Briefing

We provide your group with a complete trip document — itinerary, contact numbers, course information, local tips, and emergency contacts.

06

On-Trip

Support

We remain available throughout your trip. If something goes sideways — a flight delay, a room issue, a changed tee time — you have a direct line to us, not a 1-800 number.

Top Destinations We Plan

  • Jamaica — Sandals Golf & Country Club and Cinnamon Hill Golf Course offer tropical layouts paired with world-class all-inclusive resort stays. Ideal for groups wanting to combine great golf with a full resort experience.
  • Dominican Republic — Casa de Campo's Teeth of the Dog — consistently ranked among the top courses in the world — is a bucket-list destination for serious golfers.
  • Scotland — St Andrews, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Turnberry, and Kingsbarns. Scotland is the pilgrimage every serious golfer wants to make. We know how to get your group on these legendary links.
  • Ireland — Ballybunion, Lahinch, Old Head of Kinsale, Waterville, and the Wild Atlantic Way courses. Ireland delivers an unmatched combination of links golf, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
  • Scottsdale, Arizona — TPC Scottsdale, Troon North, and Whisper Rock offer desert golf at its finest. Perfect for fall and spring group trips from Chicago.
  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina — Over 100 courses, strong group packages, and one of the most accessible golf trip destinations from Chicago. Great for weekend escapes.
  • Pebble Beach, California — Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, and the Monterey Peninsula offer some of the most spectacular golf scenery on earth.
  • Bandon Dunes, Oregon — Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails, Old Macdonald, and Sheep Ranch. A world-class walking-only golf resort — our groups consistently call it a top-three golf experience of their lives.

Buddy Groups & Men's / Women's Trips (4–20 Players)

The classic buddy trip is our bread and butter. A group of golfers wants excellent courses, solid accommodations without fuss, a smooth arrival, and plenty of time to make memories between rounds. We have built dozens of these — weekend escapes to Myrtle Beach, week-long adventures to Ireland, and multi-stop Scotland itineraries that players talk about for years. We handle the logistics so the group organizer can be a guest, not a coordinator.

Country Club Member Events (20–100+ Players)

Organizing a golf trip for a country club is a significant undertaking. Room blocks, flight coordination, tee time allocations, tournament formats, welcome receptions — these details can overwhelm even the most organized club committee. We take all of it off your plate. Tell us your member count, your destination preferences, and your budget range, and we will build an event your members vote as the best the club has ever offered.

Corporate Golf Outings & Incentive Events

A well-executed corporate golf trip builds relationships, rewards performance, and creates shared experiences that no conference room can replicate. We design corporate golf events that reflect your company's standards and your clients' expectations — from sponsorship-branded tee boxes to custom welcome gifts and post-round dinners. We also build golf-focused incentive travel programs that give your top performers a destination worth working toward.

Couples Golf Retreats

We design couples golf retreats that balance great courses with great resort experiences — so the non-golfer in the couple has just as much to look forward to as the scratch handicapper. All-inclusive resorts in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic are particularly well-suited for couples golf, combining world-class layouts with spa, dining, and beach experiences in a single price.

Expertly Organized Golf Experiences

Our golf travel planning includes access to top courses, preferred resort options, and flexible itineraries. We consider skill levels, travel schedules, and off-course activities to create a trip everyone can enjoy.

  • How far in advance should I book a group golf trip?

For domestic trips (Myrtle Beach, Scottsdale), we recommend booking 3–6 months in advance. For international trips (Scotland, Ireland, Jamaica), 6–12 months is ideal — particularly for destinations like St Andrews where tee time access is limited. Reach out and we will tell you what is possible.

  • What is the minimum group size you work with?

We work with groups of all sizes — from solo golfers wanting a premium trip to groups of 100+ for country club events. Most buddy and corporate trip clients are in the 8–24 player range, which is where the best group rate leverage exists.

  • Can you plan tournament formats for our group?

Absolutely. We coordinate tournament formats, scorecards, closest-to-pin contests, longest drive competitions, and post-round award ceremonies. Many clients run a full Ryder Cup-style competition format — we help design the teams and handle the logistics.

  • Can spouses or non-golfers join the trip?

Of course. We design trips that work for both golfers and non-golfers in the same group. All-inclusive resorts in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic are particularly well-suited — partners have beaches, spas, pools, and dining while the golfers are on the course.

  • Do you arrange club rentals at the destination?

Yes. We confirm rental availability at your destination in advance. Most top-tier golf resorts offer quality rental sets. We can also advise on the best ways to ship clubs ahead for destinations where airline transport is impractical.

  • How does pricing work — is there a planning fee?

We are compensated through our supplier relationships, meaning our planning services come at no extra cost in most cases. The price you pay for your trip is the trip — no hidden planning fees. We are always transparent about how we are compensated.
